Celebrating One Year of Grace

If you had told me a year ago that one small “yes” would lead here, I don’t think I would’ve believed you. Honestly, when I first felt like the Lord was calling me to start Her View of His Grace, my response was basically… “Excuse me?”

I’ve put myself out there before. I know what criticism feels like. I know what insecurity feels like. My first instinct was, “No thanks.”

But the Lord just kept nudging my heart.

I’ve been writing since the day I became a Christian. Notebook after notebook filled with what God was teaching me, and almost no one ever saw any of it. Looking back, I wonder if He was simply asking me to stop keeping it to myself.

So… I posted something.

Then another.

Then a small group formed around one table, with open Bibles and women who simply wanted more of Jesus. Somewhere along the way, God started weaving together something I never could have planned.

And today, Her View of His Grace turns one!

This year I’ve watched women become friends. I’ve watched prayer requests turn into answered prayers. I’ve watched women open God’s Word with confidence and share what He is teaching them. But I think my favorite part has been watching women walk through life’s joys and hardships together, carrying one another’s burdens, celebrating victories, and reminding each other they were never meant to follow Jesus alone.

Along the way, God also did things I never imagined. Nearly half a million views, thousands of website visits, over 200 copies of Sound Mind in women’s hands, women from around the world finding HVHG, and busy moms listening to the audio lessons during school pickup, on walks, or while folding laundry.

Those numbers aren’t what I’m celebrating today. They’re simply evidence that God can do a lot with one surrendered “yes.” So, thank you for reading, listening, praying, encouraging me, sharing HVHG with a friend, and showing up around the table. You have been part of this story too, and I’m so grateful.

As I step into year two, my prayer is simple: to keep taking the next faithful step, no matter what fear has to say. To keep teaching, sharing, discipling, and trusting God with whatever comes next.

One year ago, God asked me for a small yes.

I wonder what your next faithful step might be?

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7

About Me

I’m Jessica Lee, and my heartbeat is helping women see their lives through the lens of grace. I write and teach from the middle of my own process, inviting women into a slower, steadier way of walking with God. I share from the middle of the mess, not the other side of it, hoping what God is teaching me in real time helps you feel a little less alone on your journey too.
