What if fear’s loud because you’re on the edge of something holy?
What fear once shut down, grace is reviving.

Back in 2012, I started a blog. It was not fancy, but it was mine, a way to write with purpose in the good ol’ Blogspot era. I only had a few posts up, but I felt like I was doing something brave. Something faithful.
Then one Sunday, our pastor, a man with a doctorate in divinity and decades of preaching under his belt, gave me a side hug and said, “I read your blog. You are an excellent writer.” Most people would have floated out of the building after that. But I did not.
I froze. My cheeks flushed. My stomach flipped. I was instantly flooded with self-doubt: He read my blog? What if it was too raw? Not biblical enough? What if I sounded immature? I never posted again.

That is how fear works. It dresses up as false humility. It convinces you that silence is safer than vulnerability. And if it cannot keep you from having a voice, it will do everything it can to keep you from using it. Looking back, I do not think I was afraid of writing. I think I was afraid of being seen, unfiltered, in-process, and not all the way together.
But here I am.
Writing again.
Not because I feel ready… but because I finally feel released.
This space, Her View of His Grace, is being born from a deep place of healing. A journey of learning to see life not through fear, or striving, or shame… but through the steady lens of grace.
I’m not showing up as an expert. I’m showing up as a sister. A woman who’s lived some things, wrestled through the dark nights, cried out in the car, failed, questioned God, and then got up again, with His help.
This blog is me, saying yes to obedience over fear, faith over silence, grace over performance.
So here’s what you can expect:
- Honest stories
- Gentle truth
- Free resources
- A quiet little corner of the internet that feels like a deep breath

But this isn’t just about me…It’s about you, too. Because maybe fear hasn’t just silenced your words… maybe it’s been choking out your clarity, your confidence, your calling.
Fear might be loud, but it doesn’t get to lead you. Anxiety doesn’t define you. Confusion isn’t from God. He’s given you something better…power, love, and a sound mind.
That means you don’t have to earn peace; you can receive it.
You don’t have to carry it all; you can let Him lead.
You don’t have to have it all figured out; you can follow, one step at a time.
Let this be your reminder:
If fear has the final word, it’s not from God, because the Spirit inside you is greater than the storm around you. So, even if your hands shake, you can still choose faith. And whatever fear has told you to quit… whatever it’s labeled “too late” or “not enough”… Do it anyway. Do it messy. Do it scared. And do it in truth.
Because courage doesn’t always look like confidence.
Sometimes it looks like Jehoshaphat, trembling in front of an army, saying,
“We don’t know what to do, but our eyes are on You.”
Sometimes it looks like Moses, standing at the edge of the Red Sea with fear behind him and nothing but more fear ahead, but hearing the Lord say,
“You need only to be still. I will fight for you.”
Sometimes it looks like the disciples, panicking in a boat while Jesus is asleep in the storm… and learning that peace isn’t the absence of fear, it’s the presence of God.
We’ll dig more into that soon…but for now, just know this: Maybe it’s time to go back and pick up what fear told you to put down.
This blog? It’s mine. What’s yours? Take a deep breath. Say the prayer. Hit publish. Make the call. Do the thing. Whatever your step is, do it scared.
I’m cheering for you like it’s my own “yes” too.
Reset Step:
Write down one thing God is nudging you to do… even if its feels small or scary. Then speak this truth over it: “I will do it scared, because I trust the One who walks with me.”
